Rob Viglione is the Co-Founder and CEO of Horizen Labs. He also co-founded Horizen, now evolving into the privacy layer on Base, and zkVerify, the #1 network for zero-knowledge proof verification. Under his leadership, Horizen Labs has helped architect and launch major blockchain ecosystems such as Apechain, while pioneering modular blockchain infrastructure focused on privacy and verification.
Before entering the blockchain industry, Rob served as a U.S. Air Force officer and physicist with assignments in Air Force Space Command and the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), where he worked in quantitative intelligence alongside the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, and CJSOTF-A in Afghanistan.
He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of South Carolina, where he taught “Bitcoin and Blockchain Applications in Finance,” and is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program at Columbia University.
